1. Who we are
shopavix.com (“Shopavix”, “we”, “us”) is an online marketplace operated from Birla Complex, First Floor, Main Road, Murnad, Madikeri, Coorg District, Karnataka - 571252. These terms apply whenever you visit the website, create an account, buy a product or send a homestay enquiry. By using Shopavix you agree to them; if you do not agree, please do not use the website.
2. Shopavix is a marketplace
Products are listed and sold by independent sellers. The seller named on each product page is the seller of that product and is responsible for its quality, description, packing, dispatch, invoice and any warranty. Shopavix provides the platform, collects payment on the seller’s behalf, checks listings and helps resolve problems, but is not the manufacturer of the products.
3. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old, or use Shopavix under the supervision of a parent or guardian. Give correct details, keep your password private and tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account. We may suspend or close accounts used for fraud, abuse, fake reviews or anything unlawful.
4. Prices and orders
Prices are in Indian Rupees and include GST unless the product page says otherwise. Shipping is shown separately at checkout. An order is accepted when payment succeeds (or, where Cash on Delivery is offered, when you place the order). A seller may cancel an order if the item is out of stock, the price was shown wrongly because of an obvious error, or the address cannot be served — any amount paid is then refunded in full.
5. Spectacles, lenses and prescriptions
When you buy a frame with lenses, you confirm that the eye power you enter or the prescription you upload is your own (or that of the person you are buying for) and was issued by a qualified optometrist or eye doctor within the last 12 months. The seller makes the lenses to that power. Shopavix and the seller do not examine your eyes and are not responsible for a wrong power that you entered. If anything in the prescription is unclear, the seller may contact you before making the lenses. Lenses made to your power are made to order — see the Refund & Return Policy.
6. Homestay enquiries
A homestay enquiry is a request, not a confirmed booking. The host confirms availability, the final price and the house rules with you, and you pay the host directly. Prices shown on Shopavix are estimates. Your stay is an agreement between you and the host; Shopavix verifies hosts and helps if something goes wrong but is not a party to that agreement.
7. Reviews and content
Reviews must be honest and about your own purchase or stay. Do not post anything false, abusive, obscene, or that infringes someone else’s rights. We may remove content that breaks these rules.
8. Things you must not do
Do not misuse the website: no attempts to break its security, scrape it in bulk, place fake orders, use someone else’s payment method, or resell products bought here as a business without the seller’s agreement.
9. Liability
We work hard to keep Shopavix accurate and available, but the website is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, Shopavix is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.
10. Changes, law and disputes
We may update these terms; the version on this page applies from the date shown at the top. These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any problem; if that does not work, the courts at Madikeri, Karnataka have jurisdiction.
11. Grievance officer
Under the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 you can raise any complaint with our Grievance Officer. We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and resolve them within one month.
